Jessica Simpson Sets a Wedding Date
Jessica Simpson has set a wedding date! And as far as we know, it's not a few days after ex hubby Nick Lachey's vows. (Fiance Eric Johnson infamously popped the question just a week after Lachey and bride-to-be Vanessa Minnillo got engaged.)

She told Us Weekly at the mag's Hot Hollywood party on Tuesday: "I'm still trying to figure out what to wear! I don't know if I want the big boom, or the curvy thing, but it will be something beautiful. I kind of have a couple ideas in my head, and I have a date; I'm really excited!"

Yeah, kind of a teaser that she didn't reveal the golden date and went on about her bod, but sounds like she's not going to fixate on a slim-down plan like most Hollywood brides. Her strategy? Not much.
"I just have to work out on my own. There is no regimen I need to follow. There's no diet I need to follow. I just need to do some things for myself and that's it. And that will make me feel the happiest."

The star -- who became a fashion mogul this year, admitted exercise just isn't fun and that to lose some weight she's just gonna dance around the bedroom. Yeah, that's what they all say.

Simpson ruled out 'Broadway' appearance

Singer Jessica Simpson has ruled out ever appearing in a "Broadway" show as she has to struggle to adapt to the routine of theater regimen.
Simpson's younger sister, Ashlee, made her debut in hit musical Chicago in London's West End, 2006, followed a stint on Broadway. But 30-year-old believes that she won't follow her sibling's footsteps.

"I wouldn't do Broadway because I like to always switch it up, I can't stay in a regimen," dailystar.co.uk quoted Simpson as saying.

Jessica Simpson Hints At A Wedding Date

It seems that the wedding plans for Jessica Simpson and her fiancé, former football player Eric Johnson, are moving along nicely. Sure, right now the world is obsessed with that other wedding (we're looking at you, Wills and Kate), but once that wraps up we can all focus on other nuptials.

That is, once Jessica gets her plans in order.
"We're along! How far along? We're along," she told MTV News at the Us Weekly Hot Hollywood Style issue party Tuesday night in L.A.

As far as the dress is concerned, Simpson, who happens to be clothing designer, said, "No! I haven't picked out the dress. That's stressful for me. Like it has to be seasonal, so I have to really figure out the date and I kind of have so now it's full force, full force wedding dress mode. Kate, you wish!"

Speaking of the royal wedding, what would Ms. Simpson get the happy couple for their nuptials? "The wedding gown I would have!" she declared. (BTW, while we're not sure what that means, we're sure she meant it in the sweetest possible way.)

Jessica has been dishing on wedding plans to everyone, particularly the particulars of what her wedding dress might look like. She told Us, "I'm still trying to figure out what to wear! I don't know if I want the big boom, or the curvy thing, but it will be something beautiful. I kind of have a couple ideas in my head, and I have a date; I'm really excited!"

As for the color, she recently confessed to People that, "I do like the romantic feel of a lighter color." Adding, "I like my collar bone. I have a long neck, so I like to show off my décolletage."

Simpson plans date to tie the knot

Jessica Simpson has set a date for her wedding.

The singer and actress, 30, who got engaged to American football player Eric Johnson in November, said she will be dancing around her bedroom to "hopefully lose some weight" for the big day.
She told Us Weekly: "I'm still trying to figure out what to wear! I don't know if I want the big boom, or the curvy thing, but it will be something beautiful. I kind of have a couple of ideas in my head, and I have a date; I'm really excited!"

She said she wouldn't be dieting in the run-up to the wedding, adding: "No exercise is fun! I am going to dance around my bedroom and hopefully lose some weight - and lift some weights and do what I can!"

Jessica, 30, who divorced Nick Lachey in 2006 and was linked with singer John Mayer, has previously said she and her fiance were in no rush to marry.

She said earlier this month: "We've both been married before. We're enjoying our commitment to each other. We want to take our time."

Jessica Simpson Talks $750 Million Fashion Empire

Jessica Simpson recently revealed four fascinating facets of her personality on Twitter, but one major one was missing: Savvy Businesswoman. Thanks to the smashing success of her eponymous fashion line of shoes, dresses, jeans, swimsuits, outerwear, accessories, watches, and fragrances—whew!—the singer raked in a whopping $750 million last year.
Unlike some celebrity designers who simply lend their name to a label, Simpson is actively involved in the creative process. “I’m in the workroom in [L.A.’s] Westwood a few times a week from 11 to 7 at night,” she tells Us Weekly. “Nothing goes out without me seeing it or my mom [Tina Simpson, her co-creative director] seeing it.”

Their collaboration works, Simpson says, because they are both brutally honest with each other—even when it comes to their own wardrobe. “We keep everything extremely truthful,” explains the former reality star. “If I walked in wearing something she didn’t like, she would tell me. And I would tell her! Like, ‘What the hell are you wearing?’”

With her music and movie career on the back burner, Simpson is focusing on being a businesswoman and being in love with fiancé Eric Johnson. “It’s really helped the collection!” she says. Currently planning her wedding—where she intends to don a gown that shows off her décolletage—Simpson was recently spotted browsing boutiques in London and Paris but insists she wasn’t dress shopping for her big day.

Instead, she was “inspiration shopping for the collection,” she says. “I have the best job in the world!”

Jessica Simpson Rules Out Broadway

Singer/actress Jessica Simpson has ruled out ever appearing in a Broadway show because she would struggle to adapt to the routine of live theatre.
Simpson's younger sister, Ashlee, made her debut in hit musical Chicago in London's West End in 2006 and she followed it up with a stint on Broadway.

But the Irresistible hitmaker is adamant she won't be following in her sibling's footsteps - as she is put off by the lifestyle restrictions that come with a regular role on the stage.

She tells Fox News, "(I wouldn't do Broadway) because I like to always switch it up, I can't stay in a regimen."

Jessica Simpson has chivalrous partner

Singer-and-actress Jessica got engaged to former football star Eric last November, and last week it was revealed the pair have set a wedding date.

The lovebirds have been spending a peaceful break in Chicago, and were spotted at trendy eatery Hub 51 with a group of 15 pals. Despite being part of a large group, the pair were said to only have eyes for one another, and onlookers were particularly impressed by Eric’s chivalrous behaviour.
"Eric even carried Jessica's designer bag while she was getting up to leave the table," a spy told People.

According to sources the pair indulged in a variety of tasty treats including spicy tuna rolls, chicken enchiladas and lemon icebox pie, and stole kisses in between mouthfuls.

Eric and Jessica sampled French cuisine the night before as they dined with pals at swanky venue Paris Club. It is believed the pair and their pals enjoyed delicacies such as goat cheese au gratin and coq au vin during a three-hour meal.
